About

Meet Rudra

I’m the tutor behind Calgary Minds. I teach Math (Grade 8-12) and Physics (Grade 10-12). I do sessions in-person for Okotoks and Calgary and online as well.

My story

My passion for tutoring came from my Math skills. I wanted to help others feel confident in Math like I did.

Before charging for my services, I spent about an year as a volunteer tutor with Schoolhouse.world. After an year of learning how to tutor as a volunteer, I started charging for it. I have been a private tutor since 2024.

I’m also a Computer Science student at the University of Calgary.

My approach

How I teach

Every session follows your child’s school curriculum.

Step 1

Catching up with school

I ask the student what they are learning in school as of now and base the session on it.

Step 2

Explanation with Examples

I explain the topics and show worked examples, while making sure the student is focused throughout.

Step 3

Practice

I provide the student with practice questions and guide them when they need my help.
